Day 167-169 LocalrootZ Project (June 18-20, 2010)

I had another partial break from the local diet for this extended weekend.  I went home to MA this weekend for a large family gathering, as well as having my brother and his family home for a visit from Tennessee.  He is a college football coach and with such a busy schedule I was excited to finally have a little time to see him his wife Hope and my wonderful nephews Aidan & Jack.  Anyhow enough about the family... I did bring home quite a bit of local food from our garden to share and consume... but I also found myself nibbling on unlocal items such as whoopie pies and pretzels.  However my giant bowl of spicy asian greens and local tempeh was a hit and my main staple for my weekend visit... Im sitting here in MA as I type this and getting myself ready for the return trip via the Downeaster back to Maine.  I can't wait to get back to our food as well as my bed ! I NEED SLEEP AND I MISS CASSI....
