Today was the start of a long cold rainy stretch here in the land of ports...and I prepared for it by soaking my Maine Grain mix; Soldier Beans, Split Peas, Barley, Pinto Beans & Yellow Eye Beans, as I prepared my morning oatmeal. I proceeded to push through another grinding day of work tending the produce and returned home later to find a bowl full of swelled grains... as I was soaked from the ride home I sure was glad I had pre gamed the evenings dinner. I proceeded to fire up the stove and relaxed with a warm shower. From there I spent my lonesome evening at home putting the final touches on my "Local rootZ" mix in preparation for the upcoming event... while Cassi spent it grinding out her night shift at work. The soup was just the thing...warm, filling and with plenty for dinner tomorrow !

Transportation today included 22 miles of bicycle commuting.
