Day Twenty Eight's Consumption
May 28, 2009.
Breakfast
Rough Cut Oats
w/ blueberry butter, cranberries & honey
Lunch
Plain Smiling Hill Farm Yogurt
w/ honey
Crackers w/ Cheese Sampler
Dinner
Maine Grain Tomato Soup
w/ Baby Red Norland Potatoes
& Asparagus
Today was a mirror image of yesterday...with Cassi working the night shift and me having loads of work for the upcoming show...I kept it simple and easy ! Leftovers. The one bright spot of today was the creation of crackers. Its quite easy actually, 2 cups of flour mixed well with 2 tablespoons of butter a little fresh water to wet it a bit...roll it out on a floured sheet while sprinkling various salt and herbs into the top layer, then into the oven for 10 min at 400* and presto ! Crackers. I've been procrastinating about them for a couple weeks but now I know in only a few minutes prep time we can have a container of crackers to snack on for the week.
Transportation today included 22 miles of wet and rainy bicycle commuting as well as a 3 mile walk for supplies !
