Today was a nice Saturday morning with a big traditional breakfast that then lead to a nice walk around the peninsula to run some errands. Ended up finding a nice bag of mescalin mix from Laughingstock Farm in Freeport. It was such a nice surprise that we chose to base our lunch around it. Topped it off with some of the cold beets from the day before and drizzled with a homemade dressing of Apple Cider Vinegar from Ricker Hill simmered on the stove top with some local honey, add some shredded Romano from Echo Ridge Farm and it was a salad from heaven. On the side we roasted a nice carnival squash that we have had stashed from New Leaf Farm in Durham.
