Day 163 LocalrootZ Project (June 14, 2010)

Our quick and traditional New England fish fry with a side of greens from our garden... mostly lacinato kale and collards with a lil bit of mustard greens to add a little spice.  The fish was prepared by simply dipping it in beaten sparrow farm eggs then coated in a mixture of coarsely ground maine cormeal with various dried herbs; sage, rosemary and thyme.  A fantastic dinner that takes minimal preparation and the whole price of the dinner for two was $6.75 ! At that price we could afford the $14 bottle of Bartlett's Coastal Red.
