Getting the Most Out of Your Strawberries...
So strawberry season is here and Cassi and I have been enjoying the sweet treats quite alot. So much that I couldn't bring myself to taking all those bits of fruit attached to the leaf tops and just drop them into my compost pile...hmmmm
Here is what i do with all those leftover tops.....Strawberry Juice
Thats right...collect all those tops you cut off through the week and once they amount to a few cups worth...add them into a pot of boiling water....boil for 20 minutes and then let sit for a couple hours...strain into a picture and presto...Strawberry Juice. If its not quite sweet enough, as is, you can add some honey during the boiling process !
